As Tennessee is not a particularly agricultural state, the state fair is on par with the average county fair, I'd say. We had a fun time, though, and since it's right up the street, it was worth the drive. These pictures are from the Kenyan Acrobatic show, where th
ere were supposedly Kenyan gymnasts accomplishing amazing human feats on a large carpet thrown down amidst the straw and various animal debris. Brendan says they look a little more "round" than they did the last time we saw them at the fair, and suggested that the reason may be as a result of touring in America for too long.
Despite appearances, this goat is happier than it ever has been that my perfect little pumpkin came into its life.

I think the favorite would be a toss-up between the petting zoo and the rabbit building. We almost came home with a rabbit. I think we're doing alright in the
multiplication department around here, though, so we can safely put off adding rabbits to the family for a little while.
Brendan was disappointed that the lone goat fairy in Tennessee was no longer at the fair, so we had to settle instead for a funnel cake, fries and some kind of sausage-thing that has him laid out on the couch as we speak. Or maybe he's just pouting because we missed the motorcycle stunt show.
