Brendan, Estella and I got to go see the Nashville Ballet's production of The Nutcracker this past Friday night! Estella's music school had a donor who provided tickets for all of the students and their parents, so it was a very special treat for us, and a wonderful experience for Estella. Our seats were pretty good, and we borrowed opera glasses from Melissa and Kathy so Estella could really zoom in and see. It was a beautiful production, and she enjoyed it a lot.
We're all gearing up for Brendan's graduation, Christmas, and the possibility of moving. We were VERY blessed to have January's rent provided by a series of generous graduation gifts. I cannot express how relieved and thankful I was not to have to plan a last-minute move amidst all that we have going on right now. We are so humbled and grateful for the generosity of our family and loved ones. Now, we have an extra month for Brendan to (hopefully) find a job and then we can decide from there what to do. Please be praying for his job situation. He is currently applying for a position as a children's editor at the United Methodist Publishing company here in Nashville. Unfortunately, we just found out that Thomas Nelson Publisher (also in Nashville) just laid off a lot of people, who will in turn be looking for employment in the publishing industry, so I think it's safe to say that if Brendan gets the job, we will know that God wanted him to have it.
